How Wannja works

Scheduling poll, sign-up or poll: here you’ll find a detailed guide, a quick start and real-world examples for each type. Participants never need an account.

Detailed guides

A separate guide for each type of poll: every step, every field, common mistakes.

Quick start: a scheduling poll in 4 steps

1

Create a scheduling poll

Click “Create a scheduling poll” and enter a title (e.g. “Board meeting March”) and several date options. If you like, add a location or video link and use “Max. seats” to limit how many people can say Yes to a date. To save, you confirm your email address once – a free account is all you need.

2

Share the link

Once the poll is created, you get a voting link. Share it by email, chat or directly via WhatsApp. Your participants only need this link – no account, nothing to install.

3

Participants vote

Your participants open the link, enter their name and mark each date Yes, Maybe or No. Anyone who wants to can leave an email address and gets an edit link to change their vote later.

In an event sign-up, participants choose options, for example shifts. With “Max. seats”, you’ll see “4 seats left” here – and a full shift can no longer be chosen.

4

Confirm the date

On the results page you can see at a glance which date suits everyone best (with a bar overview and “Best match”). Add it to your calendar (.ics) with one click – and, if you like, confirm the final date so that all participants with an email address automatically receive a calendar invitation. If you add dates later, everyone who has already voted sees a notice; you can also remove individual answers here.

For clubs, teams and anyone who plans regularly.

Manage participants

Save your participants once and use them for as many polls as you like. Keep them in lists (e.g. “Class 3a”, “Board”), put groups together across lists (e.g. “Children’s choir”) and invite whole lists or groups with one click. Paste names straight from Excel or import a CSV file.

Invitations & automatic reminders

Invite lists, groups and individual people directly by email, plus guests who aren’t in your contacts. Have automatic reminders sent to everyone who hasn’t voted yet, and set a response deadline – Wannja reminds people in good time and tells you when it’s time to confirm the date.

Your own logo, colour & portal

Upload your logo and choose an accent colour – both appear on the voting pages and in the emails. With your own portal (e.g. wannja.ch/your-club) everyone sees all your active polls in one place, ideal for an intranet or a club website.

Settings with organisation name, portal address, logo and accent colour

This is what your public portal then looks like – with your logo, all active polls and sign-ups and the button to your calendar:

Polls

Ask one or more questions – choice, either – or, yes/no/abstain, rating, image choice, ranking, NPS or free text, all available for free. Share the link or show a QR code in the room, and see the results as bars. With Pro: invite lists and use the secret ballot, where every invited person votes exactly once and nobody sees who voted for what.
