Ad-free, no tracking, grown by word of mouth: Wannja becomes a platform for scheduling, sign-ups and votes
Aadorf, October 2026 – Find a date, collect sign-ups, vote by phone in the room: the online tool Wannja from eastern Switzerland has been relaunched. Since 28 September 2026 it has a new logo, a new design and a much broader set of features – in four languages, without ads and without tracking, for companies, clubs and private individuals. The basic features remain free. Wannja has grown without paid advertising: the number of new accounts more than tripled from July to September.
A tool that needs no explanation
Wannja was developed by Oliver Krispel, e-sys in Aadorf TG – originally for his own needs. The reason: many free scheduling services are funded by advertising that often hides what matters. Wannja keeps things simple: a poll is set up in a few minutes, and anyone who receives the link understands what to do without any explanation. Voting works without an account and without an app; creating a poll only takes a free account. Visitors’ behaviour is not tracked.
I wanted a tool that lets anyone create a poll in a few minutes – and that everyone else understands straight away, without instructions. No ads hiding what matters, and nobody’s behaviour being recorded in the background.

Grown by word of mouth
Since its launch in January 2026, more than 600 scheduling polls have been created with Wannja, and around 3,000 people have voted (as of 03/10/2026, excluding test and demo accounts). The number of new accounts more than tripled from July to September: 29 in July, 79 in August, 95 in September – with no paid advertising and no search engine marketing, purely by word of mouth. In Oliver Krispel’s estimation, Wannja is used mainly by private individuals.
What Wannja does
Scheduling poll: Suggest dates, everyone answers yes, maybe or no. The best date comes out on top and is sent to everyone with one click, including a calendar file.
Event sign-up: For club dinners, volunteer shifts or courses – with maximum places and questions for participants, such as menu choice.
Poll: 8 question types from yes/no to ranking and image choice, named or anonymous.
Voting in the room: Put the question and a QR code on the screen, everyone votes on their phone. The result appears live or as the next slide of your own presentation. Free of charge.
Secret ballot (Pro): Each invited person votes exactly once; only the fact that they voted is stored, never how. This is not certified e-voting – what it can and cannot do is set out openly on a separate page.
Calendar: Publish fixed dates, embed them on your own website or subscribe on your phone – new and changed dates arrive automatically.
For companies and clubs (Pro): People in lists and groups, personal invitations, automatic reminders, your own logo, colour and portal page, up to five team members.
Many people know scheduling polls from Doodle. In Oliver Krispel’s view, Doodle has developed towards time management and does that well. Wannja sticks to the simple things: finding a date, collecting sign-ups, asking for opinions.
Free and Pro
The basic features are free and ad-free: unlimited scheduling polls, event sign-ups and opinion polls (up to 5 questions per poll, all question types), voting without an account, QR code voting with presentation and results slide, Max. seats with a waiting list and questions for participants, location or video link, one public calendar to subscribe to and embed, printing, Excel and CSV export and calendar files. Wannja Pro for companies and clubs costs CHF 7 per month or CHF 70 per year and covers up to six people with their own access – for example IT, communications and HR in a company. Among other things, Pro adds people in lists and groups, personal invitations by email, automatic reminders and response deadlines, the secret ballot, up to 15 questions per opinion poll, multiple and internal calendars, your own logo, colour and portal page, and up to five team members.
Four languages, data in the EU
Wannja is available in German, English, French and Italian. It runs on Microsoft Azure in the EU. Wannja shows no ads, uses no tracking and bases its data protection on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the GDPR.
