Answer options

Participants can choose one or more options.

Max. seats: Leave empty = unlimited. Full options can no longer be chosen.

Help on “Max. seats”

Limits how many people can sign up for this option. Participants see how many seats are left; a full option can no longer be chosen (except for the waiting list, if it is switched on). Anyone already signed up keeps their seat.

Example: Volunteer shifts: shift 1 with 4 seats, shift 2 with 6. Leave it empty for no limit.

Questions for participants
Help on “Questions for participants”

For each option you can ask questions that only appear when someone picks that option – such as a menu choice, the number of children or allergies. The answers appear in the list of sign-ups and in the Excel file, one column per question.

Example: For “Yes, I’m coming” ask “Menu?” with Meat and Vegetarian – so the kitchen knows how many of each.

Each sign-up then takes as many seats as the number of people entered. The list, Excel file and confirmation email show the number of people. If there is not enough room, the person sees how many seats are still free.

Example: Family event with 80 seats: the Keller family signs up once and enters 4 people – 76 seats are left.

Help on “Waiting list when an option is full”

When an option with “Max. seats” is full, more people can put themselves on the waiting list and see their place in the queue. When a seat becomes free – someone cancels, changes their answer or you add seats – the first person who fits moves up automatically and gets an email, if they gave an address. People on the waiting list do not count as participants.

Example: Course with 12 seats: the 13th sign-up is number 1 on the waiting list and moves up as soon as someone cancels.

The link accepts answers for this long. After that it is archived, not deleted: you can still see the results and reactivate it. If you set a response deadline with Pro, it ends 14 days after the deadline instead.

Example: 1 week for “When shall we go out for dinner?”, 3 months for the annual planning. “Unlimited” is available when you are logged in.

With a response deadline, the poll ends automatically 14 days after the deadline. Expired polls are archived, not deleted.
