You don’t need an account, an app or a password. Open the link, enter your name, answer – done. This page shows what you’ll see in the three kinds of poll and how to change your answer later.
The link works on a phone, tablet or computer, in any up-to-date browser.
Enter your name under “Your name” the way the others know you. If there’s already a list of names, tap yours. If you came via a personal invitation, your name is already filled in.
For each date, choose “Yes”, “Maybe” or “No”. “Maybe” is only there if the organiser allows it. If a date shows “full”, the seats are taken; Yes is then no longer possible.

If you enter your address under “Email (optional)”, you get a confirmation with a personal link. You use it to change your answer later. Without an address, that’s not possible. Some polls require the address.
Click “Vote”. You’ll then see the others’ answers – unless the organiser has hidden them.
Enter your name and tick the options that apply – several if you like, for example two shifts. Full options are locked.
Some options come with questions, such as how many people are coming or which menu. For questions with a quantity per answer, fill them in for everyone you’re signing up – for example 1× meat, 2× vegetarian. If the form asks for the “Number of people”, count yourself too.
Under “Note (optional)” you can add short remarks, such as “arriving late”. With an email address, you get a confirmation with the location, your choices and the link to change them. Then click “Send response”. Use “Visible to the organiser only” to hide personal details such as allergies from other participants.
With several questions, you see one question per screen with a progress bar. Tap an answer; with a single choice, it moves on by itself. On a computer you can also use the keys A, B, C or numbers, and Enter to continue.
At the top you can see how the poll is set up. With names: your name is shown with your answer; with an email address you can change it. Anonymous: no name; the answer is fixed once submitted. Secret: personal invitation only, exactly one vote, nobody sees how you voted – more under Secret ballot.
If someone shows a QR code, scan it with your phone camera or type in the short address. After voting you won’t see any results – the person at the front decides whether to show them. If you share a device, the next person chooses “Another person is voting on this device”.
What you enter is stored: your name, your answers and – if given – your email address. The answers are seen by the person who created the poll and, depending on the settings, by the other participants. Your email address is not shown to the other participants; Wannja uses it for the confirmation, the edit link and messages about this poll. Wannja shows no ads and uses no tracking tools.
Whoever created the poll is responsible for it and for how the answers are handled. Details are in the privacy policy.
| Message or problem | What you can do |
|---|---|
| “Poll no longer available” | The poll has been closed or has expired. Ask the person who created it. |
| No confirmation email | Check your spam folder. Some mail servers only deliver the first email after a few minutes. Otherwise, request it again at wannja.ch/meine-links. |
| “Someone has already voted here on this device.” | In open polls, the browser remembers your vote. If another person votes on the same device, they choose “Another person is voting on this device”. |
| “Only invited people can vote here” | Use the personal link from your invitation email, not the general link. |
| I want to withdraw | With your personal link, you delete your answer. If you don’t want any more invitations, contact the person or club that invited you. |
No. To vote or sign up for an event, all you need is the link. You only need an account if you want to create a poll yourself – and that’s free too.
No. Wannja runs in the browser, on a phone as well as a computer.
No. The other participants see at most your name and your answer. Only the person who created the poll sees the address.
Yes, as long as the poll is running: with the personal link from the confirmation email or the invitation, and without an email address also in the same browser via “Change answer”. Exception: anonymous and secret polls – there, the vote is fixed once submitted.
